  • Checking/Savings accounts may need to be closed
  • Credit/Debit Cards may need to be closed
  • Monitor all account activity closely

    Security Tips to Protect Your Personal Information:

    • Limit what you carry & NEVER carry your social security card in your purse or wallet
    • NEVER get personal information (social security number, driver’s license number) printed on your checks
    • Shred documents containing bank or credit information like receipts, credit applications and bank statements
    • NEVER share or write down your PINs and Passwords
    • NEVER use the same PINs and Passwords across multiple accounts
    • Before giving out personal information ask why they need it and how they will safeguard it
    • NEVER give out personal information if you have not initiated the call
    • Be cautious of links and attachments in emails requesting personal information be updated
    • Remove incoming mail from your mailbox as soon as possible
    • Use updated anti-virus and anti-spyware software on your computer
    • Don’t overshare on social networking sites
